The Story Behind the Miles
About This Ride
Over the years, to raise funds for 1-in-6, I've cycled from Akron, OH to Key West, FL, The Great Allegheny Passage, The C&O Canal, Route 66, a Cape Cod Loop, the Finger lakes, the Ohio to Erie Trail, and 2400 miles of the Lewis and Clark Trail. For 2025, I had planned to ride coast-to-coast, but spine surgery and a battle with sepsis stopped me. I then planned to do that ride this year, but a predicted "strongest on record" Super El Nino promises to be too much for even a seasoned adventure cyclist. So, for 2026, I'll pedal the fourth leg and final 575 miles of the Lewis and Clark Trail, W->E from Council Bluffs, IA to Hartford, IL. Five states in 11 days! 😊 (And I can do it before El Nino really gets rollin'!)

The Rider
Why I'm Riding
This ride is my way of doing something with what I've been through. Every mile is for the men who might otherwise, never get diagnosed. And for the men and families who suffer the trauma of Cancer. And in remembrance of those men who have died of Prostate Cancer.
"1 in 6 men will face prostate cancer."
The Mission
The 1-in-6 Foundation
The 1-in-6 Foundation provides free, support to men and their partners facing prostate cancer. The money Greg has raised has helped fund free PSA tests for men who are uninsured or underinsured; it has helped provide emotional support and assistance for prostate cancer patients and their families; and the funds also have helped cover the cost of diagnostic MRI’s for high risk patients who would not otherwise receive them.
Mission
To help men mitigate the trauma of Prostate Cancer.
